Hello, I am Mary in the customer service department. Last week, my family and I were fortunate enough to vacation in Nags Head, North Carolina, The Outer Banks. Being at the beach is one of my most favorite things in life!
I took some time and stopped to visit Knitting Addiction just up the road in Southern Shores. Wooohoo, what a nice yarn shop. The nicest I’ve seen! I had a chance to meet the owner, Jeanne Shrader, her staff and tour her beautiful shop. I also learned that Jeanne is a Volunteer Fire Fighter.
This shop has an amazing amount of square footage and is a yarn lover’s paradise! There is an amazing supply of Plymouth’s yarns and patterns. The displays in this shop make choosing your next project a breeze. Sample garments and patterns are displayed prominently over the available colors of that particular yarn. To finish your project, you can pick from the many notions she carries.
I have talked to Jeanne on the phone numerous times and it was nice to meet her in person and put a face to the voice.

I write a lot about what I find that’s new and cool in the knitting world. I hardly every write about crochet and I plan on changing that. Crocheters need a voice as well- and I’ve noticed the craft is becoming more popular every day.
Here is a really cool scarf crocheted by Rebecca using our Encore DK
Pattern by Robyn Chachula, 2 balls of Encore DK
Rebecca modified the pattern a bit and added one extra repeat to widen her scarf. On a size H hook, this should work up in no time.
Here is where you can find the pattern
