Baby Boutique is the perfect baby yarn for Kathy’s cardigan–

Love the football buttons!
Knit in size 1-2 years in Baby Boutique, it took 6 balls of blue, and 1 each of white and brown.
The traditional cable pattern makes this a great staple garment for any child. I like how the hoods’ cable detail adds a sporty finish.

Baby Alpaca DK never looked so pastoral in DivineGift’s leafy scarf-

4 balls of Baby Alpaca Dk in color 402
The pattern repeat was doubled to create a wider scarf. The alpaca drapes well when knit on size 7 needles in lace stitch.
Brooke Nelson’s design has a matching hat and fingerless mitts as well.

There is nothing more rewarding than making a hand made gift for a loved one;
especially when you know it will keep them cozy and warm.

Aiden's Hat, made in Happy Feet DK and Encore DK
(My favorite touch is the whimsical braided ties!)
This hat can be made in adult size as well by using a heavier yarn, like Encore Worsted or Galway. Aiden’s hat, knit by Mary, is knit in Happy Feet DK and Encore DK.
The pattern is by Tienne and can be found here

Happy February! This week I wanted to feature a knit that was named after the shortest month of the year.

Jessica's February Sweater
February Lady is designed by Pamela Wynne, who was inspired by Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Baby Sweater on Two Needles.

1 skein of Mushishi color 5
**Jessica’s version is cropped, so you’ll most likely need more than one skein if you plan on making the full length version.
